In the most beautiful nature, but well connected

Schlehdorf am Kochelsee is only around 70 km from Munich and belongs to the district of Bad-Tölz. The municipality combines good local amenities with excellent transport links and an outstanding leisure experience. In the village, the Schlehdorf monastery farm store with café and the village store offer baked goods, organic vegetables and various specialties.

A kindergarten and the St. Immaculata Archbishop's secondary school are also located directly in the town. More shopping options and secondary schools can be found in Murnau, which also boasts a picturesque ambience and is less than 15 minutes away by car. A visit to the weekly market in Murnau is always worthwhile. Afterwards, head to one of the charming cafés or restaurants. The Münter House is one of the region's major attractions, but there are also plenty of varied and high-quality cultural and educational offerings elsewhere, for example in Garmisch or Bad Tölz.

If you prefer to relax in nature, you will find a wide range of options right on your doorstep. Whether you hike one of your "local mountains" with a tour to the Herzogstand or prefer cycling, whether sailing, swimming or rowing are among your hobbies or sports in a group: the Blue Land offers the most beautiful possibilities. Skiing is, of course, a top priority throughout the region in winter. One of the most popular areas for ski tours with a cross-country ski trail on site for many residents is the area around Garmisch (33 km).
You can be there in just under three quarters of an hour via the B2. Commuters are well connected to Munich. You can even leave your car in Kochel. The Kochelseebahn takes you via Tutzing to Munich Central Station in just over an hour. If you prefer to travel by car, you will need about the same amount of time.
