Nestled in the greenery of Barasso, in the province of Varese, Villa Necchi was built in the late 1930s for the Necchi Campiglio family, one of Milan's most influential families. Designed by architect Tommaso Buzzi, the villa blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape and takes advantage of the natural amphitheater that surrounds it.
The square floor plan of the villa and the layout of the rooms are designed to maximize natural light, with large windows offering breathtaking views of the park and lake. The villa extends over two levels. The piano nobile, with an area of 1,000 m², houses spacious salons, a panoramic terrace, a dining room, a study, and five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, furnished with fine marble. Each room is furnished with custom-made furniture by Buzzi, which lends the rooms uniqueness and sophistication. The staff floor, measuring approximately 800 m², originally comprised areas intended for staff, but today offers a wide range of possibilities for individual design.
A striking architectural feature is the swimming pool, whose shape is reminiscent of Lake Varese and blends harmoniously into the surrounding garden. The entire property is surrounded by an 11-hectare park with a majestic 800-meter-long driveway. The villa also has a water system with its own spring and catchment basin, ensuring sustainable use of resources.
Buzzi's elegant lines and custom-made furniture give the villa a timeless atmosphere typical of the neoclassical Art Deco movement.
