Autumn/Winter Trends from the Supersalone from Milan by PILATI
- 23. September 2021
The whole design world has been eagerly awaiting the Milan Furniture Fair. For two years we had to do without this place full of inspiration and ideas. So do we at PILATI.
Even if the trade fair only took place in a reduced form at the beginning of September, as the “Supersalone”, you didn’t have to do without a wealth of exciting and unusual trends and new concepts for the interior world. We have put together some of our highlight trends for your inspiration.
Unique
The designs of a lot of furniture are becoming very bold and “bold”, which means that you can dare to place really outstanding one-offs in some places. An eye-catcher as they used to say. But today it doesn’t have to be quite so harmonious, the design break is desired. A piece of furniture as a sculpture, so to speak.
Reduction and sustainability
In several respects, one notices very clearly that the theme of “reduction” was the guiding principle of this year’s Salone del Mobile. You place less furniture in the room and use it much more consciously to create clear lines. In addition, fewer very selected and sustainable materials are used.
The individual pieces of furniture gain a whole new meaning through their reduction and their natural materiality, they come into their own and this naturally intensifies the view of the design.
Creative design solutions in the kitchen

How nice when you discover a design that immediately fascinates and you think about whether it could be your next dream kitchen.
We would be happy to support you, should you want to implement one or the other trend in your own life, or we would be happy to advise you. We are looking forward to your visit.
Yours Pilar Salm née Pilati and Ennio Graf Pilati with team
