Pöcking

The municipality of Pöcking is a captivating place on the western shore of Lake Starnberg that promises its visitors history at their fingertips.
Empress Sisi - also known as Queen of Hungary and later Empress Elisabeth of Austria - spent her youth in this place.
There are probably only a few places on Lake Starnberg where culture and history are as closely intertwined as in Pöcking.
If you want to combine a trip to Lake Starnberg with 100 percent bathing fun, there is no way around Pöcking. There are several opportunities here to dive into the cool water on a warm summer's day. For example, there is the Schlosspark, aptly named "Paradise", which attracts those seeking relaxation like a magnet in the warmer months. This bathing region is a public area with a bathing beach, which is complemented by a variety of sports and leisure facilities. The nearby Maisinger See is also ideal for a refreshing dip on warm summer days. This remnant of a glacier tongue formed during the Würm Ice Age is known as the oldest nature reserve in Bavaria. If you can't get enough of water and bathing fun, you could hardly have chosen a better place on Lake Starnberg than Pöcking.
You can get to Munich quickly and easily by S6 from Munich city center or by car via the A95 in around 40 minutes.
The renowned Munich International School (MIS) is just a 15-minute drive from the villa, making it quick and easy to reach.
